Associate Veterinarian

South Hill Veterinary Hospital (SHVH) is seeking a part to full time Veterinarian. We are a busy, family owned, 8 doctor (4 FTE) AAHA accredited practice serving the South Hill area in Puyallup for over 40 years. We are committed to offering the best quality care to our patients and clients and are looking for a highly skilled, compassionate veterinarian to care for our patients. Applicants must be skilled in medicine, surgery, and dentistry and have excellent communication skills with clients and staff.

We have a beautiful state of the art hospital that is well equipped for surgery, endoscopy, laser surgery, digital radiography and digital dental radiography, ultrasound, complete in-house lab work, and laser therapy. We are paper-lite with Avimark software. Our veterinarians are well supported with about 45 staff members and expected to work well with our team. We offer a competitive salary and generous benefits including medical dental, and vision insurance for full time employees, paid vacation and 6 annual paid holidays, paid sick time, paid CE and on-site CE opportunities, a very generous employee discount and scrub allowance. Licensed Veterinary Technician

As our valued licensed veterinary technician, your job is critical to the hospital team. Customer service, patient care and client interaction is a #1 Priority! We are seeking highly qualified, positive, motivated, compassionate and proactive individuals. Applicants must be licensed in the State of Washington or just newly graduated veterinary technician.

Technician duties and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: Providing “First Class” customer service; Patient Care; Educating clients on patient care; Perform CPR, prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge instructions to client; Digital and digital dental radiography; Anesthesia; In-house lab work; Placing IV catheters, phlebotomy, injections, assessing patient vitals, dental prophylaxis; Managing, treating and monitoring critically ill and emergent patients; “Avimark” system a plus but not required; Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment; Friendly, compassionate, outgoing and professional in appearance, speaking and writing; Able to work under pressure and high levels of stress; Attention to detail; Strong problem solving skills; Able to lift up to 40 pounds, work on your feet 8-12 hours a day.


Client Service Representative/Veterinary Receptionist
